Understanding Depression and How to Help Your Loved One Through It

|

Mental health impacts physical health, and contributes to overall quality and duration of life. Depression can be difficult to diagnose, but it’s important to identify and treat as early as possible.

Seniors with dementia are at a higher risk for depression. However, there are steps you can take to prevent the onset and escalation of depression in your loved one. Additionally, there are treatment options that can help return your loved one to a happy, peaceful state of mind.

Join us November 16th, 6pm – 7pm at Iris Memory Care, to discuss:

Causes of depression
The difference between dementia, depression and delirium in seniors

  • Symptoms of depression
  • Treatment methods
  • How to prevent depression

The discussion will be led by Benjamin Pearce, chief executive officer of Evolve Senior Living. Benjamin has over 35 years of experience in the senior living and Alzheimers’ care space and has helped countless families and patients create individualized care plans to support comfortable, healthy aging.
